Ziva Meditation

Today blog post is about a new meditation technique that I learned from an amazing book called “stress less , accomplish more “. It is my first read of 2021 and it was remarkable. It talked about a new kind of meditation technique that combines 3 Ms- mindfulness, meditation and manifestation.

What is 3 Ms

Mindfulness is defined as process of being fully present. It is state of being in which you are fully aware of everything occurring around you in present. And you are not at all concerned about worries of future and sorrows of past.

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

Manifestation is defined as the evidence that something exists. Through the process of manifestation, you believe that anything that you want in your life, you can attract through positive thoughts.

How ziva technique combines 3 Ms

In ziva technique, you divide your meditation time into three parts:

1. In first two minutes of your practice, try to notice every single noise happening around you and then slowly try to notice your quite breath. Try to calm yourself by noticing each and every sensation happening around you.

2. In next 15 minutes, sit with your back supported against a wall. Ziva meditation suggests you don’t need to sit like a yogi for a good meditation practice. And try to repeat a mantra for next 15 minutes. Book suggested “ziva” but I have been using “Om” as my mantra. And just keep on repeating that until 15 minutes are over. Before reading this book, I always used to put a timer on phone while meditating but this book totally recommends against it. This book suggests to use a physical clock or an app called “clocks” for this purpose.

3. And in last 2 minutes, just keep your eyes closed and try to visualize any desire/ dream of yours. Act as if you have already achieved what you are looking for.

How to make ziva meditation a habit

Well, the best tip for making anything a habit is try to do it for 21 days. It is recommended to do it two times in a day – once when you wake up and then in mid afternoon/ evening. In the starting, doing it for 15 minutes might feel weird to you but don’t give up. Just live through it and I assure you it will get easier sooner than you think.
